When exporting a document in PDF or Word (doc) format, there is an error message: Converter not found. The converter is a utility provided by OpenOffice that converts your documents into these formats after export.
Troubleshooting on the Mac
If the error occurs anew after updating the operating system to macOS Catalina (10.15) or higher, the wrong version of the converter was probably installed: Please reinstall ARTBUTLER and select LibreOffice (64bit) instead of OpenOffice (32bit) in the options.
In all other cases, please restart your computer once – if the problem still persists, please call us.
Troubleshooting under Windows
Please restart the computer once. Check whether OpenOffice can be found in the quick launcher at the bottom right of the taskbar. If it is not there, please activate the option “Load at system start” in Tools > Settings > OpenOffice > Working memory (is the path correct under Windows?). After restarting, the converter should be available and the export should work as expected.
When installing ARTBUTLER, it is mandatory to install it after OpenOffice. If ARTBUTLER was installed first or OpenOffice was updated again afterwards, ARTBUTLER cannot establish a connection to OpenOffice. In this case, please install ARTBUTLER again with the same version.
