How can we help you?

Add Works or Contacts to a Group by Number

You can add works to any work compilation like work group or exhibition by entering their inventory number or even pasting a complete list of numbers. The same way it is possible to populate a contact group using the contacts’ IDs.

Contact Groups

Use the contact IDs on the top left of a contact record to populate a contact group. For example, print the contact ID – as a barcode perhaps? – somewhere on your invitation cards to organise your mailings or invitations, or copy a list of contact IDs from a report that identifies your high-selling customers of last year.

Work Groups and Exhibitions

Works can be added to a group via their inventory number, that you might read from the works’ barcode label in your storage directly into a group to organise your transports. Or use our Lightbox feature to arrange works for an exhibition under visual control and copy the final selection and order into the exhibition record.

How it works

On top of the lists of contact or work groups as well as in all other work compilations like exhibitions and consignments you will find the button Add/remove works/contacts to add works or contacts by number. A dialogue will open where you have different options how to enter the numbers:

  • Enter the numbers manually and separate them by return key or a click on OK.
  • Read the numbers directly with a barcode scanner, for example from returned invitation cards or work labels.
  • Copy a complete list of numbers, each on a separate line, into the input field.
  • With the checkbox Remove entered contacts or works will be removed from the group, not added.

If you’re done, close the dialogue with Close.
