In Germany, basically for every purchase of an art work dues have to be paid to a state fund that has been installed to support artist’s social insurance, the Künstlersozialkasse. Whether dues apply depends on the legal status of the seller.
Mark Relevant Purchases
With ARTBUTLER 2.12 and higher, owner changes of type purchase and credit can be marked with a checkbox when dues like the Künstlersozialkasse apply. The label of the checkbox can be changed in Preferences > Invoices > Dues acc. to your local needs, the current rate based on the net amount can be set here too.
Find the Purchases and Export them
The marked purchase records can easily be found by searching the invoices for Due rate is not empty. You can export the status (Dues: yes/no), the rate stored in the purchase, and the resulting amount per work and as total. For details please refer to invoice_complete.odt in our reference templates.
Access Rights
In the Management > Roles section you can control the user access to this feature with the access rights Invoices: Dues view / edit (Besitzerwechsel: Abgaben anzeigen / bearbeiten). Please be aware that hiding this field completely for a user will disable the export of the related values for him as well, since the bookmarks won’t print anything in this case.
