How can we help you?

Customise Templates

Templates generate documents in formats such as MS Word, PDF, and OpenOffice. Templates created in OpenOffice must be saved in .odt format. You can customise the layout according to your wishes: implement your logo, change the font, or adjust the width of exported data by complementing or removing placeholders.

Download Open Office here.

Find an index of all placeholders here.

1. Placeholders

All templates use placeholders to determine where which data should be output. Find a list of all placeholders here. A placeholder is a predefined short text – a kind of code – which can reproduce the selected data from your ARTBUTLER PRO account. For example, ${w.ArtistFirstLast}, will reproduce the artist’s first name and last name.

By selecting from the list of available placeholders, you can define precisely which information should be provided: complete place-holders, change the variation of the placeholder (e.g. gross price to net price), or delete the placeholder if not required.

2. Adjust Font and Layout

As in any other document you may change the font and layout. You can also format placeholders at will, but please always pay attention to format the whole placeholder, including the dollar sign and the brackets, in order for it to work.

If you’d like to change the font for the whole document:

  • Select menu item Format > Styles and Formatting.
  • Find the default setting in the list and right click on it.
  • Select Modify from the menu: now you can modify your document’s default format and select your desired font from the tabFont.

3. Adjust Header and Footer

Simply overwrite content of headers and footers by going to Insert > Picture > From File …. Implement a logo or an address and/or add your bank account details to the footer. Header and footer are visible on each single page of your document.

If your template does not have any footer/header yet, you can add or remove these easily by following this path Insert > Header/Footer.
